COURSE SUMMARY

Representing the views of all young people in their area is no easy task for Local Youth Councils. How can you make contact with all parts of your local community? How can you get, and keep, a diverse range of young representatives involved?

The Every Young Voice programme from the British Youth Council is all about equipping your Local Youth Council to engage and consult as widely as possible, ensuring that you can speak on behalf of all young people in your community – and be listened to, with the full strength of your network and members behind you.

By the end of the three part course Local Youth Councils will have the skills and tools to:

• Consult with a range of young people in their area
• Produce an action plan for submission to the Children’s Trust and elected representatives
• Find other similar local organisations that they can work with.

• You can send up to three delegates, one can be a staff member. Extra spaces may be available nearer the start of the programme. Please contact for further information.
